UGC e-Samadhaan

Grievance Redressal System

At National Law University Meghalaya (NLU Meg), we are committed to the welfare and support of our students and stakeholders. In line with this, we are pleased to share information about the UGC’s e-Samadhan platform—an online grievance registering and monitoring system introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Previously, the lack of a centralized system led to grievances being registered across multiple channels, slowing down redressal. With advancements in ICT, UGC has launched e-Samadhan, consolidating all grievance portals (except the Anti-Ragging Helpline) into a single, efficient window for 24x7 grievance submission and monitoring.

Key Features: -

  • Centralized, 24x7 online platform for submitting and monitoring grievance
  • Accessible via email or toll-free number: 1800-111-656
  • Each grievance receives a docket number for tracking and transparency
  • Assigned to relevant UGC departments with defined response timelines

Redressal Categories and Time Limits:

Sl. No Subject Matter Maximum Time to Respond
